Gardening equipment stolen in Boyle

Boyle Gardai are seeking the assistance of the public following the theft of a large quantity of gardening equipment on Wednesday afternoon.

The theft occurred at The Gaelic Chieftain viewing point off the N4 outside Boyle.

A van parked at the popular viewing spot had thousands of euros worth of lawnmowers, strimmers, chainsaws and a back pack leaf blower along with other gardening implements taken from it.

Gardai are asking members of the public who noticed anything suspicious around the Gaelic Chieftain area or on the N4 between 1pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday to contact them on 071-9664620.

They are also asking members of the public to contact them on the above number if offered any similar items for sale.
