Lough Key Classic set for May 14th
This year’s Lough Key Classic cycling sportive will take place around Boyle on Sunday May 14th.
With new routes for 2017, there will be three distances on offer.
Experienced cyclists can undertake the 115k route through counties Sligo and Roscommon.
Also on offer will be a shorter 70k route and a 33k route for those seeking a more leisurely spin.
Sign on and registration will be at the Sports Complex with the 115k and 70k events taking in a figure of 8 route with tea breaks at King House in Boyle.
Chairman of Curlieu Wheelers cycling club Eddie Conroy said the new routes will show off Boyle in all it’s glory with riders taking in Lough Key Forest Park and the Curlew Mountain.
There will be plenty of climbing as before and spectacular scenery on view.
This event is a Cycling Ireland affiliated Sportive, open to over 18′s only (Under 18′s allowed with full juvenile Cycling Ireland licence).
Entry remains as before at €20 and €25 with €15 for the 33k.
