CAPTAINS DRIVE IN – Next Sunday sees the official start of the golfing year in the club, the “Captains Drive-In”. The Mens’ Captain this year is Paddy McLoughlin and Michelle Quinn is the Lady Captain. Paddy and Michelle will be there on the day to do the traditional ceremonial drive so please come along to show your support for our new Captains even if you cannot play. The competition format will be the usual one of a 9 hole Scramble, with names to be in for a draw for teams at 12.30, with shotgun start at 1 pm.
ST PATRICKS DAY – After our very successful St Patrick’s Day Parade Float last year, we are organising another entry this year. Anyone interested in helping to organise/ participate in the clubs entry please make contact with Killian Egan.
MENS BEGINNER GOLF LESSONS – There will be Men’s Golf Lessons at the club this year running as a block of weekly lessons on a Wednesday evening from April to July. If you are interested please send a brief email with name, address, phone etc to [email protected]. There will also be ladies lessons, details yet to be finalised, but they will be running over the same time period.
FOURBALL BETTERBALL RESULTS – 1st Jason Beirne, Gerry Rogers 48 points, 2nd Niall O’Donohoe, Lochlainn Conboy 46 , 3rd Charlie O’Donnell, Martin Sweeney 43 (countback).
SPRING LEAGUE – The Men’s Spring League has been extended to March 7th to allow missing rounds to be completed.
FIXTURES – After the Captains Drive In next week the Men’s Fixture Calendar for March will start to look a lot busier at the weekends.
Sat 14th – Sun 15th 18 Hole Stableford, Sat 21st- Sun 22nd Holmpatrick Cup, Sat 28th – Sun 29th 18 Hole Stableford. And weather permitting we hope to restart the Men’s Thursday Competitions on the 26th.
