Deputy Frank Feighan named as new Minister of State

Boyle native TD for Sligo Leitrim Frank Feighan has been named as the new Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure and Infrastructure.
The appointment is part of a Government reshuffle following the announcement that Minister Pascal Donohoe will be leaving Government to take up an appointment with the World Bank.
Following the announcement, An Tainiste Simon Harris, who himself will take over the Finance portfolio, said “As Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, with special responsibility for Public Procurement, Digitalisation and eGovernment, Frank Feighan “will lead the agenda on better procurement of public contracts and advancing this government’s digital agenda”.
“I know Frank will bring to this role his many years of experience as a member of both the Dáil and Seanad Eireann and as a Minister of State previously,”. concluded Mr. Harris.
An Taoiseach Micheal Martin added: “I also congratulate the highly regarded Deputy Frank Feighan on his elevation as Minister of State. I know that this will be well received across the House”.
