St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee say ‘Thank You’

The organisers of this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade in Boyle a big success.
To the clubs, organisations, individuals and businesses that participated in our parade, thank you for your effort and for entertaining the crowd. To our main sponsors, Boyle Credit Union, thank you for your continued support. To all the businesses, clubs, organisations and individuals that supported us financially and helped us hit our Go Fund Me target, thank you so very much. We appreciate that times are hard so it means so much to get the support. Without funding, our parade would not happen.
To our local media sites, newspapers and everyone who shared our posts and helped spread the word about our parade, thank you. Thanks to Padraig O’Dowd & Turlough O’Gara for the use of the lorry and thanks to Ardcarne Garden Centre for making it look so beautiful with the lovely flowers and plants. Thanks also to Mike Smith from Smith Auctioneers for the power and for doing MC on the day – you always do such a great job. Thanks to Roscommon County Council, An Garda Siochana, our Fire Services, our Defence Forces, Order of Malta, our stewards, Music Generation Roscommon, Lisbeg Pipe Band, local band Spiral, DJ Stan, John Keville, Darren Deery, Tommy Egan & the St. Joseph’s Hall Committee, Daly’s Storehouse, Micheal Sweeney, our secret judge, everyone on the viewing stand and the many MANY volunteers who helped out along the way. Thanks also to Paul and Maureen Forde for leading our parade through the streets of Boyle – the tractor looked amazing!!
Finally, thanks to each and every person that showed up on Tuesday. It was amazing to see the streets turn green and hear so much chat and laughter. Until next year .
