The organisers of the Boyle Parade have announce that this year’s Grand Marshals will be Paul and Maureen Forde.
“Paul retired in January as Boyle’s Postmaster, after giving decades of dedicated service to the people of the town and surrounding areas. Over the years, Paul and Maureen have been at the heart of our community, always offering a warm welcome and helping countless people through the doors of the Post Office. This year’s parade is a wonderful opportunity to honour Paul and Maureen and thank them for their kindness and service to Boyle over the years. Paul will have the special role of leading the parade in his newly renovated 60-year-old tractor, which promises to be a fantastic sight as the parade gets underway”.
The organisers are also requesting parents and guardians of children who are taking part in the Parade to please use the car parks in town and walk children up to the starting point at Carty’s Garage. This is to ease traffic flow and reduce safety risks on the day.
Motorists are also advised that there will be traffic disruption in Boyle town between 3:00pm and 3:30pm as the parade makes its way through the streets.
The organisers ask everyone to please cooperate with Gardaí and parade stewards on the day to ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.
