Christmas Themed Projection planned for Boyle

As part of the government’s ‘Keep Well’ Community Resilience Campaign, Roscommon County Council has engaged Roscommon-based Spicy Dog Media to create a series of outdoor Christmas themed projections on a number of council buildings in the county in the run up to Christmas.

The projections will add a further dash of colour and creativity, complimenting the magical work of the Christmas Lights Committees. Look out for sparkles, log fires and presents under the tree at the following locations over the two weekends before Christmas:

· Fri 11th, Sat 12th and Fri 18th, Sat 19th at Roscommon Library & at The former Royal Hotel Boyle.

· Sun 13th and Sun 20th at Dillon House Ballaghderreen (Library) & at the Courthouse Castlerea (Area Office).

Roscommon’s Keep Well Campaign will also see the council host a Virtual Interactive Christmas Tree where messages of support and best wishes can be posted by people from all over the world to their loved ones in Roscommon and vice-versa. RoscommonChristmas.ie will be launched on December 10th.

Of course the Community Call is still here. Roscommon County Council, together with An Garda Síochána will continue to offer a 24-hour Free Phone Community Support Response Helpline to support and advise vulnerable members of our community. FREEPHONE 1800 200 727 or email [email protected].

These are just some of the initiatives as part of the KEEP WELL campaign being delivered in the county by Roscommon County Council and Healthy Ireland, an initiative of the Government of Ireland with funding from the Healthy Ireland Fund and the Sláintecare fund delivered by Pobal.

Also as a special focus this year, the Council will support the Stay Local, Shop Local Campaign with the Shannonside Outside Broadcast in a number of towns in the county from Thursday 10th December.
