Cousins accused of rape in Roscommon

Two cousins aged 28 and 22 appeared before Roscommon District Court on Tuesday charged with the rape of a woman in Roscommon town in December 2013.

Both men pleaded not guilty to the charge and there was no objection to bail being granted.

Superintendent Pat Murray said the DPP had directed that both accused should stand trial in the Central Criminal Court.

Bail was granted pending the service of the book of evidence on 17th February.
