Keadue is Irelands Best Kept Village

The north Roscommon village of Keadue  has won another major award.

Twice named winner of Ireland’s Tidiest Town in 1993 and 2003, Keadue was yesterday named “Ireland’s Best Kept Village”.

The award was presented at a ceremony at Farmleigh House in Dublin.

Approximately 750 towns and villages from all over Ireland were entered in the various categories of the competition.

Keadue is situated 17k north east of Boyle and is the home to the O’Carolan Harp Festival and Summer School each year.
