The death has occurred of Michael (Mickey) Durkin, Knockvicar, Boyle, Co. Roscommon and formerly Culleen, Tourlestrane, Co. Sligo. May 18th 2026, peacefully, in the tender care of the staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, and surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Deirdre, daughter Fidelma, brothers Johnny, Pat, and Fr. Ned.
Mickey will be sadly missed by his loving, daughter Michelle, adoring grandchildren Ellen, Michael and Rory, sons-in-law Brendan and Francis, sisters May (Cahill), Teresa (Kennedy), Sr. Rita (Marist), Una (Boyle), and Kathleen (Keane), sister-in-law Denise, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, his many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, (F52WT26) on Wednesday evening May 20th from 4p.m. until 7p.m. Removal from his home on Thursday morning at 10.30 a.m. to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Crossna, (F52VO9) for celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m., Interment afterwards in Kileenan Cemetery.
