Pike Angling Festival over Easter weekend

Boyle and District Angling Club is once again hosting its annual Pike Festival on the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, April 11th and 12th with €5000 in prize money.

Fishing takes place on Saturday from 11am -6pm and Sunday 10am – 5pm from the Doon Shore on Lough Key and concludes on Sunday afternoon with the prize giving ceremony.

The competition, which has a first prize of €1,500 plus the Moonstone Perpetual trophy with other prizes totalling €5,000 is one of the most popular in the country attracting anglers from all corners of Ireland, the UK and Europe. So popular is the venue of Lough Key that returning competitor’s make up the bulk of participants.

Additional prize money on both Saturday and Sunday will be €1675.

Entry is €70 per angler regardless of age.

All anglers will be entered into a special 40th anniversary draw for €500 on Saturday and again in Sunday. (This prize is separate to all other prizes)

On site catering on both days will sustain anglers and visitors alike in the lovely setting of Doon Shore on the edge of Lough Key.

Presentation of prizes will take place on Sunday and anglers must be there in person to collect prizes.
