Santa made his first official trip of the year to Boyle on Saturday evening and switched on the Christmas Lights before visiting the Model Railway in the Courthouse.
He arrived with the assistance of the Fire Service and in addition to switching on the town lights he will also lit two spectacular trees.
The trees are located on the Crescent and Bank of Ireland, and both were generously donated to the Boyle Town Lights crew by Ardcarne Garden Centre.
Hot Chocolate was provided by Boyle Scouts, music by DJ Dermot and face painting by Transition Year Students of Abbey Community College.
The event concluded a busy 24 hours in Boyle with the Craft Fair and Christmas Market wrapping up in King House.
