Official opening of Boyle Celtic new Clubhouse

Boyle Celtic FC will mark a major milestone in the club’s history on Sunday, 15th November, with the official opening of its new Clubhouse & Community Hub, the culmination of an ambitious five-year development programme that has transformed Celtic Park into one of the region’s premier sporting and community facilities.

The official opening represents the final phase of a journey that has seen Boyle Celtic invest significantly in developing first-class sporting and community infrastructure at Celtic Park.

Over the past five years, the club has successfully delivered a series of major projects, including the installation of a FIFA-standard 4G all-weather pitch, the resurfacing of its training pitch, a comprehensive floodlighting upgrade, improvements to parking and site access and the addition of a covered spectator stand. The completion of the Clubhouse and Community Hub now brings that transformative development programme to its conclusion.

For a club that has been at the heart of community life in Boyle for generations, the opening is about much more than bricks and mortar. It represents years of vision, commitment and perseverance from countless volunteers, committee members and supporters who worked tirelessly to turn the project from an idea into reality. It is also a tribute to the generations of club officers, committee members and volunteers whose dedication over many decades helped build Boyle Celtic into the thriving community club it is today, paving the way for the developments now being celebrated.

Like many community-led developments, the journey was not without its challenges. Securing funding, coordinating construction phases and delivering a project of this scale required an enormous collective effort. Throughout the process, the club received invaluable support from funding bodies, local businesses, sponsors, members and the wider community, whose backing helped ensure each phase of the development could be successfully completed.

The new facility provides modern dressing rooms, a coffee dock, a supporters’ room and a dedicated community function room, creating a welcoming environment for players, families, supporters, community groups and local organisations.

Club officials believe the development will play a central role in the continued growth of football in the region while also strengthening community engagement and providing a flexible space for a wide range of activities throughout the year.

The opening celebrations will bring together members of the local community, invited guests, funding partners and public representatives, while also recognising those who helped build the foundations of the club over many decades.

A special “Boyle Celtic Past & Present” gathering will form part of the day’s events, bringing together former players, committee members and volunteers to celebrate the history, achievements and people that have shaped the club’s story.

From the development of world-class playing facilities and upgraded infrastructure to the completion of a modern Clubhouse & Community Hub, the past five years have been transformative for Boyle Celtic. The official opening will provide an opportunity not only to celebrate what has been achieved, but also to look forward to the next chapter in the club’s development.

As the doors open on Sunday, 15th November, Boyle Celtic will celebrate not just the completion of a building project, but the successful delivery of a long-term vision.
