Boyle GAA club news

The following were €20 in the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Bruno’s;- Colm Loftus, Michael Brennan, Tom and Pat Cox, John McGuinn, Kevin Ward and Eithne/ Ciara/ Maitha. The house prize was won by Mary Rooney. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at €8,400 for next Saturday night’s draw which will be held in An Craoibhín and with Team D in charge.
Our National Automation Limited Minors had a deserving 4 point win over Castlerea St Kevins in Castlerea on Sunday morning in the Division 3 League.
The U16s will play Kilglass Gaels/St Barrys in the Division 4 League on St Patricks Day at 10.30am in Kilglass.
The U14s are scheduled to play St Dominics in the Division 4 League on Saturday. Details will be provided at training.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors will commence their O’Rourke Cup campaign on Sunday morning next at 11.30am when they will host Tulsk Lord Edwards in the Abbey Park.
Best wishes are extended to the Roscommon U21s and our Boyle representatives on the panel when they meet Sligo in the Connacht Championship in Kiltoom on Wednesday evening.
Congratulations to the Rossie Seniors on their great win over Kildare in the Allianx National League on Sunday and we hope for further success against Meath on Sunday next.
There will be an important Club Meeting on Friday evening next at 8pm in the Clubroom. All Club Members are requested to attend.
The Club is requesting that those who have not yet registered (either players or mentors or supporters) should do immediately. Registration may be done with either Mary Clifford or Stephen Tonra.
The Club is embarking on a “Know Your Sport” 2015 sports prediction competition. Prediction cards are available from Martin Dolan, Mary Clifford or James O’Boyle or from the players. There is a total prize fund of €800 and cards cost €10 each. Participants are invited to forecast the results of 26 upcoming national and international sporting events. Completed cards must be returned by 6th April.
Thanks to all who helped organised the very successful presentation night for our underage panels of 2014 in St Joseph’s Hall on Saturday night last. Thanks to Tadhg Lowe, Donal and Enda Smith and David Casey for making the presentations to our U8s, U10s, U12s and Minors who won various competitions in 2014.
Sympathy is extended to the Rock family, Ballinameen on the death of Benny Rock.
Ladies Club
The U 16 girls lost to a stronger Clan na Gael team in the Division 1 Championship on Sunday. Congratulations are extended to former players Jennifer Conroy and Aoife O’Connor and their respective husbands on the recent births of their first babies. Best wishes is extended to current player Emer Killilea and Ollie Burke who will get  married on Friday next.
