Boyle were the winners of the Garda Cup 2016 in an exciting final played in glorious winter sunshine in the Abbey Park on Saturday.
In a tight and keenly contested game Kilmore/Shannon Gaels should be very proud of their efforts against Boyle who were described as one of the best U14 teams in the county.
At the full time whistle for normal time the sides were level
The game then went to extra time with all to play for.
In the end Boyle ran out worthy winners on a scoreline of 3-17 to 4-08
Sergeant Frank Egan presented the Garda Cup to Boyle captain Iarla Regan with the Sergeant John Kelly man of the match trophy presented by Loyola Kelly going to Cathal Caslin from Kilmore/Shannon Gaels.
Referee for the game was Brendan Beirne.
