Sitting councillor John Cummins has been the first councillor elected in the new Boyle Municipal District.
After a marathon count the Boyle based sitting councillor was deemed elected on the 5th count on Sunday night at 10.54pm on 1643 votes.
In an interview immediately following his election, Councillor Cummins stated that he was not interested in putting his name forward in any
by election that may be forthcoming.
