Boyle Athletic Club has launched their annual 5K Road Race and this year’s event will proudly support the Jack & Jill Foundation.
The race will take place on Friday, July 17th at 8pm, commencing from Boyle Abbey.
Participants will run along the scenic Boyle Canal on an officially measured Athletics Ireland permitted flat, fast course.
Prizes for overall and age category winners.
This year’s race is a fundraiser for the Jack & Jill Foundation who provide in-home nursing care and support for children with severe learning disabilities and complex medical needs across Ireland. Behind every service they provide is a family trying to hold themselves together through exhaustion, fear, and heartbreak — parents caring around the clock, siblings learning too early what sacrifice means, and children who deserve every possible moment of comfort, love, and joy.
Jack & Jill steps into those homes with compassion, dignity, and hope. They give families something priceless: time. Time to rest. Time to breathe. Time to simply be a family again in the middle of unimaginable hardship.
For many parents, the support of Jack & Jill means getting a full night’s sleep for the first time in months. It means being able to attend a sibling’s school play. It means not feeling completely alone.
Entry to the 5k is capped at 300, with places sure to fill up soon.
