A Co Roscommon man is reported to have been killed in a road traffic accident in the United States on Saturday.
Shannonside FM reports that the man was in Fort Lauderdale for work, with a number of other Irish men, when the accident happened around half past nine yesterday morning.
The man who was in his early forties, was crossing the street with friends when he was hit by a car that failed to stop at the scene.
The man was pronounced dead a short time later.
A 35 year old man is said to have been arrested in connection with the accident.
