Roscommon town has increased its ranking from 16th to 8th in the most recent IBAL Anti Litter League.
Longford, Cavan, Kilkenny and Tramore are in top four that could be declared the overall winner of the IBAL (Irish Business Against Litter Award) which is up for grabs this afternoon.
Roscommon is among a number of towns that have been declared cleaner than European norms.
