Storm Gareth to hit North West
A severe storm has been forecast to hit the west and north west coast of Ireland on Tuesday and into Wednesday morning.
Storm Gareth will bring gusts of between 110kph and 130kph to western and north western parts of Ireland.
The worst affected areas, where a status orange warning has been issued, are Sligo, Mayo, Leitrim and Donegal.
A status yellow rainfall and wind warning is in place for all of Connacht.
Warnings have issued for possible travel disruption and power cuts on Tuesday and into Wednesday morning.
