Taoiseach can not interfere in Gridwest

An Taoiseach Enda Kenny says he can not legally interfere in the Gridwest project as he has to wait the outcome of the expert group.

The Gridwest project will see 113k of voltage lines from Mayo to Flagford outside Carrick-on-Shannon.

A public meeting recently formed the North Roscommon Gridwest objection committee to ensure the project does not go ahead.

In particular there is concern at the convertor station that is proposed for Flagford.
