Two new candidates seek election in Boyle M.D.

Two new candidates have declared their intention to seek election to Roscommon County Council in the Boyle Municipal District in this June’s local elections.

Boyle Post Office Post Master and Kingsland native Paul Forde has officially declared his candidacy for Independent Ireland and former Mayor of Boyle Jane Suffin has declared as an Independent.

Announcing Mr Forde’s intention to stand in the local elections, Independent Ireland said: “Motivated by his passion for supporting small farmers and local businesses, Forde has decided to enter the political arena to advocate for rural communities and underrepresented groups”.

“I am deeply committed to advocating for local communities and ensuring that the voices of farmers, business owners, and underrepresented groups are heard,” added Mr. Forde.

Former Mayor of Boyle Jane Suffin has also declared her intention to seek election as an Independent Candidate.

Announcing her candidacy on social Media, Mrs Suffin said: “Boyle needs a voice, a practical voice, a voice that isn’t afraid to fight for what’s right for the town and the community and to show that same support for all other towns and villages in the Boyle Municipal area”.
“We need someone at the council table to fight for all of our young people that’s been lingering on the council housing list for years, some to start the fight to make for what’s right for these communities and someone to speak out for what’s not right”.
“Anyone that knows me knows I’m knowones (sic) puppet and I will stand by the people who vote for me and not forget about them once the elections are over”.
