A number of young Boyle swimmers were members of Carrick Fins Swimming Club who have recently been taking part in the aquasprint series against clubs in Longford, Ballinasloe, Roscommon and Athlone.
The aquasprint series are fun, small 25m races for kids aged 8-12 years.
Local lady Sue Wynne is one of their club coaches and at this weekend race in Longford, Boyle was well represented with eight young people from the area participating (O Connors, Maddens, Tighes, Wynne, Mc Mahon and Coman family members).
The club would like “to thank to all at Longford Swimming Club for a great welcome and fab food. Thanks to all parents and our club swimmers for helping out. A big thank you to our fabulous coach Sue , who’s commitment and hard work is just amazing”.
