ATTENTION FARMING COMMUNITY
Úna Bhán Tourism are delighted to be offering free computer training courses again, starting in March. This unique opportunity to develop digital skills and learn basic functions is for beginners or those eager to improve in a fun and easy way. The course includes how to set up an email account, send and receive emails / how to search the internet in a safe and secure way / Complete vehicle taxation online instead of paper form & how to set up and use online banking. More importantly for the farming community the training will teach how to register your farm on Agfood.ie, which allows you to Record the Birth of a Calf; Complete and Print Farm-to-Farm Movements & Print your Herd Profile for your Farm Accountant. Courses are limited to 10 people at a time and will be held in Boyle Library. The training programme is funded through the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment (DCCAE) Please call Nigel on 071 966 3033 for more details or to register.


CURLEW WALKERS CLUB
The next meeting of the Curlew Walkers will take place on Sunday 24th March. Meeting on The Crescent, Boyle at 10am. This will be a Flat/Climb Grade B from Blacklion to Shannon Pot. BOYLE AND DISTRICT ANGLING CLUB
The Paddy Sharkey Perpetual Memorial Lough Gara Cup will take place on Sunday 31st March with fishing commencing at 11am until 5pm. Check in entries will be taken at Templeronan Pier. BOYLE COURTYARD MARKET
The all-weather Courtyard Market takes place every Saturday in the grounds of King House, Boyle from 10am until 2pm. If you would like to enjoy the best locally grown fresh and organic produce, then a trip to the Courtyard Market should be on your agenda. There is a wide range of seasonal produce, including organic fruit and vegetables, homemade jams and marmalade, organic free range eggs, fruit juices, gluten free/ sour dough/ spelt bread and all kinds of delicious home bakes are available every week. Alongside the food stalls are a number of crafters selling their handmade wares, personalized candles and knitwear. LOCAL ENTERPRISE AT ROSCOMMON LAMB FESTIVAL

BOYLE HOLIDAY GROUP WATERFORD TRIP
Boyle Holiday Group are planning a trip to Waterford this May. The group will visit Dungarvan, Waterford City and other places of interest in the South east Coast. The trip will take place from Monday 6th May to Friday 14th May. The group will be staying at the Park Hotel, Dungarvan. FREE BIODIVERSITY TRAINING COURSE FOR COMMUNITY GROUPS
Roscommon Leader Partnership are offering an introduction to biodiversity training. The course is free and is open to all community and voluntary organisations across Co. Roscommon (e.g. Tidy Towns, Cemetery Committees, Conservation Groups, Environmental Groups, Town Teams, Residents Associations). There will be information about biodiversity, flora and fauna of the area. It will provide skills in habitat conservation and protection. Training will be held in a number of venues across the county, to be identified after the participating groups are selected. Please contact Nollaig Feeney [email protected] for an application form. THE MULLIGAN SISTERS

The Mulligan Sisters, accompanied by Dr Padhraic Ó Cuinneagáin (Lecturer: DIT Conservatory of Music) will be performing in concert at the Church of Ireland, Boyle, Co. Roscommon, on Saturday, 23 March 2019 at 8:00pm. BOYLE BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT GROUP
Friday March 29th at 10am in Boyle Family Resource Centre. Cost: €2 or donation A space where you and your baby will receive lots of support, a warm welcome & cuppa! Older siblings are very welcome to come along as are expectant mothers.

 

FAMILY SUPPORT DROP IN CLINIC
A drop in confidential space for parents and families to call in and receive support and a listening ear about issues and concerns about you and/or your children. BOYLE TENNIS CLUB AGM

The AGM of Boyle Community Tennis Club will take place on March 25th at 7.30 pm. This meeting will take place in the pavilion. All are welcome.
