Boyle face Carrick in Cup quarter finals

The quarter final draw for the last eight teams in the FAI Junior Cup was made on Wednesday evening in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Boyle Celtic were drawn away to Tipperary side Carrick United.

Carrick United are based in Carrick on Suir in Co Tipperary but play their football in the Waterford League

All games are to be played on the weekend of 10th/11th/12th March.

Team management and a number of players attended the draw ceremony which was held in the FAI Suite in the stadium.

Earlier on Wednesday Boyle Celtic took to Twitter to ascertain the supporters view prior to the draw, asking the question:

” Do we want a home draw with massive home support or an away draw with a night on the lash?”.

The poll, which closed before the 6.45pm draw showed that the home draw was favboured by 97 % and only 3% wanting to go “on the lash”.

It looks like 3% of the ‘Celtic fans now get to go on the lash in Tipperary this March!
