Our GreenRock Convenience Store Boyle/ Roberto’s Takeaway Boyle sponsored men’s reserves came from one-nil down to defeat Dysart at Celtic Park on Sunday morning. The away side took the lead on 22 minutes. That was held until the 56 minute with Alfonso Barrios netting the equaliser. Darragh Hensey gave Celtic the lead from the penalty spot shortly after the hour mark. The same player scored his second and Boyle’s third twelve minutes from time. Commiserations to our Wynne’s Bar sponsored men’s first team completed their 2025-26 season with a defeat to St. John’s Athletic on Sunday afternoon. It was Celtic that took the lead with Shane Battles finding the back of the net in the opening minutes. The visitors responded with two in quick succession from striker Tommy Hurley. Celtic searched for that elusive equaliser but none was forthcoming as St. John’s registered their third midway through the second half from Daire Keenan. Congratulations
Congratulations to the Roscommon under 20s on their Connacht championship victory. A number of the coaching ticket form part of the Boyle Celtic masters team, Dean & Gordon Casey and Cathal McKeon have played for the men’s first team while Declan Kennedy is a former youths player.
Congrats to former youths player Ciara Cunningham on her appearance for the Roscommon LGFA senior team on Sunday last.
