Former Boyle Celtic player Alfonso Barrios Sanchez has signed for FAI National League side Mayo FC.
Barrios Sanchez, was born in Venezuela but moved to Spain when he was young.
A winger, he spent the 2025-26 season at Celtic Park and put in a string of impressive performances.
This culminated in the same player scoring the two goals in the north Roscommon outfit’s victory over Glen Celtic in the RDFL Division Cup final in Lecarrow.
Mayo FC are one of fifteen teams to enter the inaugural National League.
Fifteen teams are divided into three groups of five play home and away matches.
The three group winners advance to the National League semi-finals with the fourth spot reserved for the best-placed group runner-up.
The winners from the semi-finals ties will face off in the National League final in November.
