RESULTS – Well done to Keith Dowling who won this years Voucher competition on 27/4/25 in his 2nd best performance of the year (his best performance being his starring role as Donald Trump in the clubs Paddy’s Day Parade float). He had a superb 63 nett just edging out young gun Tadhg McKenna and seasoned veteran Michael O’Dowd, both on 64. Lorcan Egan claimed the prize for best gross score.
The winning team in the Easter Shambles competition was the combination of Lochlainn Conboy, Michael McHale, Niall O’Donohoe and Owen O’Donohoe with 127 points. In second place were Jim Callery, Michael Simon, Tim Hester and Frank Casserly also on 127 points.
The Men’s 9 Hole completion played on 24/4 was won by the in form Keith Dowling with an impressive 24 points. 2nd Lorcan Egan 20, 3rd Jonathan Egan 19.
The following weeks Men’s 9 Hole saw Mark Feehan make his return to the winners enclosure taking top spot with 20 points. Niall O’Donohoe 19 points, Keith Dowling 18.
FIXTURES – The Mens weekend Thursday competition continue every week from now til late September. It will stay as a 9 hole competition for now but will be a 12 hole when evening daylight allows.
The Committee Cup takes place the weekend after the May Bank Holiday.
GOLF LESSONS – We have had great difficulties sourcing a pro to run a full course of lessons for the Male Beginners but hope to be in contact with all who applied this week with a possible solution.
