Fianna Fail leader visits Boyle
The leader of the Fianna Fail party Michael Martin T.D. paid a visit to Boyle on Tuesday afternoon and evening.
He was accompanied by Councillor John Cummins and Deputies Mark McSharry and Eamon Scanlon and party members from Boyle.
Mr Martin first stop was the Spool Factory Co Working Hub where he met many of the 22 co workers and users of the building who were on site on the day.
He also paid a visit to the adjacent Fitt Factory where Siobhan Perry showed him the state of the art fitness centre and all it has to offer.
Mr Martin then went on a walking tour of the town where he met locals, business people and visitors alike .
He also had a tour of the Model Railway in the Courthouse.
Later on Tuesday evening he addressed party members at a gathering in Daly’s Lounge.
Speaking to Boyletoday.com, Mr Martin said he could see great changes in Boyle since his last visit and he hoped to return again when many of the plans discussed came to fruition.
