CAPTAINS DRIVE IN – This years Drive In was a huge success and the golfing year is now well and truly launched. Captains Paddy and Michelle were on hand to welcome all to the club, and hit the traditional ceremonial drive, witnessed by club members, family and friends. They had an addition duty to the usual this year in that they were announcing our fundraiser for this year ( see below).
DUCK RACE FUNDRAISER – The club fundraiser will be a Duck Race held on the river in Boyle town on Sunday 14th when a bunch of numbered rubber ducks will be launched in the river to see which little duckie crosses the finish line in pole position. The person who has bought the number for the corresponding duck takes the top cash prize but there will be several runner up prizes too. Club members will be selling numbers for ducks in the coming months. Please support. The fundraiser is to increase our ability to make golf available to all in our community.
ST PATRICKS DAY – After our very successful St Patrick’s Day Parade Float last year, we are organising another entry this year. Anyone interested in helping to organise/ participate in the clubs entry please make contact with Killian Egan.
MENS BEGINNER GOLF LESSONS – There will be Men’s Golf Lessons at the club this year running as a block of weekly lessons on a Wednesday evening from April to July. If you are interested please send a brief email with name, address, phone etc to [email protected]. There will also be ladies lessons, details yet to be finalised, but they will be running over the same time period.
