Large crowds are expected to travel to Athlone from all over the country on Saturday for a flooding protest rally.
The rally has been organised to protest at the recent flooding crisis across Ireland and the perceived lack of action.
The event will get underway at the Diskin Centre in Athlone at 12 noon on Saturday.
It is proposed to then travel through the town of Athlone to St Peter’s Square where the gathering will be addressed by speakers.
The organisers say they have agreed that public representatives will not be speaking at the event.
